Gamers Helping Haiti!

On Tuesday, January 12th, at 4:53 pm Eastern Standard Time, Haiti and portions of the Dominican Republic were rocked by a magnitude 7.0 earthquake, the epicenter of which was located 15 miles West-Southwest of Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti. This is one of the poorest, most in-need nations in the world, and it has been wracked by disaster after bloody disaster over the years. The death toll is already estimated to be between 45-50,000 people, and the United Nations is itself facing the heaviest loss of life within its ranks since its inception. This could be the opening to a modern thriller or horror RPG... but it's not. It just happened, and the world is still reeling from it. Yet it is time to do more than stare in shock and sadness at these figures. We at DriveThruRPG and RPGNow are proud to join with many others organizations around the world in gathering and donating funds to aid those in desperate need at this time of crisis. You can donate via your account, either $5.00 or $10.00 at a time, and we will match your donation dollar for dollar. Moneys collected are currently planned for Doctors Without Borders, though other agencies in need may also be considered as we continue our collection efforts.
